The Modern Food Industry and the damage it is causing to the world’s population

It is MAN’S interference and MAN MADE foods that are killing us.

The Fat myth and the effects that it is still causing to date:
The truth has finally come out in favour of fat, the link between saturated fat and heart disease is not correct, the findings were not supported by the research. This research was done in the 50’s and 70’s by Key (refer to the fat chapter) and the findings from this research were doctored they were not supported by the true results of the study.

As a result of these findings, it pushed people away from eating fat and turned them to carbohydrates. As the fat-free industry grew, fat was taken out of foods and sugar was used to replace it. This is because fat contains the flavour. Therefore sugar was loaded into the food manufacturing industry as fat was being drained, in order to keep the food tasting good and to keep us coming back for more.

All fats been tarnished with the same bad brush, bad fats and good fats (refer to fat chapter about good/bad fats)) and so the general public began to fear FAT. The same is happening with carbohydrates and sugar now. Complex carbohydrates and sugar in their natural forms i.e. Fruit – fructose(fruit sugar), brown rice (not refined white flour) are part of our diets and should not be avoided but should be eaten in moderation.

In fact it is sugar, poor insulin control and inactivity that are making people fat and sick and causing the majority of our health problems.

The link between added sugar in the US food supply is the subject of a new documentary called “Fed Up” – the documentary tells us about how the food industry has been lobbed in the states to allow certain “food” items to be accepted into the food manufacturing industry. HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) is an example of a “food” that has been allowed to become the norm in the food industry. It is sugars that are causing the obesity epidemic by pumping it into 80% of all US foodstuffs.

A lot of the government guidelines regarding nutrition are damaging the general population’s health because governments will not address the real issue. Nutrition, lifestyle, and health are primary factors in the control of chronic disease. The guidelines/food pyramid need to be addressed and the food industry should not be allowed to be influenced or lobby the government and their guidelines. Our health should be the only guiding factor when it comes to any government’s nutrition, lifestyle and health guidelines.
Man has come up with:
● High fructose corn syrup (HFCS)
● Refined sugar (and the availability of it)
● Hydrogenated margarines
● Highly processed oils
● Artificial sweeteners
● Pesticides
● Herbicides

None of these MAN MADE foods or processing practices have had a positive effect on the food being produced or to our health. They have just lined the pockets of the food industry and the drug companies – making people sick is big business, once you are sick, you go to your doctor and what is your doctor going to do for you?!? Yes, you got it, pull out his prescription pad, he may as well be writing a cheque for the drug company. Using medication is the only way doctors have been trained to heal the body, There is another way, listen to the body, nourish the body, rest the body. Then if that hasn’t worked then turn to your doctor and ask them to help with prescription medication it should not be the first port of call.

To improve your health and the quality of your life you need to look at what you are eating and remove anything that is MANMADE or MAN ALTERED.

Our body is amazing – it is always trying to heal itself, even if you keep throwing junk down your neck…With our health, although a lot of diseases stem from man-made issues and are caused by men and not nature, your body still provides the answers, it is constantly trying to fix itself. This is called homeostasis.
